ODU.LIVE is a living knowledge architecture for preserving, connecting and responsibly exploring Yorùbá and Ijebu knowledge across generations.
Preserve first
Oral testimony, family records, historical publications, photographs, maps, ritual language, oríkì and archival material can coexist while retaining their individual provenance. Where sources disagree, the disagreement remains evidence.
Language is data
Tone marks, underdots, spelling, capitalization and exact source forms are meaningful data. A modern or reconstructed form may be compared with a historical form, but it does not silently replace it.
Tradition without flattening
Multiple witnesses can be compared across genealogy, geography, institutions, chronology and narrative structure. ODU.LIVE separates source-attested claims from corroborated, derived, candidate, disputed and generated material.
A living system
The first implementation is an evidence registry—not a claim that the full conceptual execution engine already exists. The system begins by making sources, forms, entities and relationships auditable.
